The Elite double slatted base is made from solid beech wood. It is equipped with 52 sprung beech wood slats. The slats are placed in pairs in shock-absorbing inserts that enhance the ergonomics of the bed base. These inserts have a 360-degree tilting movement, which allows the slats to move more freely and adapt perfectly to your body shape.
The Elite double slat base features 6x6 cm central beam that runs from the head to the foot of the bed. The slats are made up of two separate sets, which are anchored independently to the central beam.
The main features of the Elite double slatted base are:
52 flexible, multi-layered beech slats that ergonomically adapt to the shape of the body to encourage better and deeper sleep.
Double slats with lumbar firmness adjustment sliders. These sliders are located on the eight lumbar slats. Thanks to this mechanism, you can adjust the degree of flexibility of the slats according to your needs, taking into account the weight of the mattress. As the slats are divided into two separate sets, you can adjust the stiffness of the slats independently for each side of the bed. To increase the firmness, simply move the slats outwards and vice versa.
Special sebs inserts to hold the slat pairs in place. Sebs is an innovative material that is very strong and elastic, similar to rubber but more durable. These special inserts contribute to the ergonomics of the bed base by acting as real shock absorbers with a tilting effect both horizontally and vertically. This oscillating movement allows the slats to freely follow the body's movements and also makes the bed base very quiet.

The product is shipped with the frame assembled and the slats inserted. Only the feet will be screwed in place, if present.
If you think the entrance of your home might be too narrow to bring the bed inside, you can opt for two Single Slatted Bed Bases and join them on-site using special hooks, available in the accessories section of those products.

You can choose between two options for the legs, depending on how you want to use the bed base
No legs: this option is ideal if you need a drop-in slatted base for an existing bed frame with side supports and a central beam running from the head to the foot of the bed. If you do not have a central support in the outer bed frame, we can supply two legs to screw to the centre beam of the slatted base. To request this option please contact us.
With central and side legs: this option is ideal if you wish to use a freestanding bed base. In this case the bed is supplied with 2 central legs and 4 side legs.
The wood is lacquered with a pore sealing finish and can be cleaned with a soft cloth and lukewarm water. If necessary, a mild wood cleaner can be used for more resistant stains.
The slats can easily be replaced if necessary. To obtain replacement slats, you can send us a request using the contact form. To replace the slats, simply pull them out of their slots and insert the new ones.
