Crafted from solid laminated beech, the Air Double Bed celebrates the natural beauty and simplicity of wood through clean lines and balanced proportions. The minimalist design highlights the distinctive grain of the beech, creating a refined and timeless presence.

At just 16 cm high, it is ideal for making the most of compact interiors such as lofts, attics, and rooms with limited ceiling height. The slightly recessed lower frame lightens the overall appearance of the structure and enhances the purity of its minimalist design.

Compatible with any type of mattress, from traditional cotton futons to contemporary foam and spring mattresses, the Air bed is available in a range of sizes and finishes. A bed designed to bring comfort, simplicity, and a genuine sense of well-being to the bedroom.

In the product configuration options, you can choose untreated beech for a natural, authentic look, or opt for one of our eco-friendly, water-based finishes, designed to enhance the wood grain and protect the surface over time. Our colour palette ranges from a transparent finish, through a variety of natural wood shades, to white, grey and black, making it easy to integrate the furniture into different interiors and styles. To help you choose, we offer a free sample delivery service, allowing you to see the quality and grain of the wood in person and compare the different finishes. To request samples, contact us and let us know which colours you’d like to see.

In addition to our standard range, you can also choose a custom RAL colour to match each piece precisely to your existing furnishings or the requirements of a specific interior design project. In this case, we’ll prepare a sample in your chosen colour and send it to you for approval before applying the finish to your furniture.

Care and maintenance

If it is varnished, the wood can be cleaned with a damp sponge and, if necessary, a gentle wood cleaner. If it is left untreated, the surface can only be vacuumed or dusted. Unvarnished wood should not be wet at all to prevent the surface from becoming rough. If this should happen, however, the surface can be smoothed again by sanding it with a fine sandpaper (180 grit).

You can complete the bed with a wooden headboard, bedside tables, ergonomic curved slats, a futon mattress, and dedicated bed linen, all found in the ‘Accessories’ section.

Headboards

Integrated wooden headboard: In the image gallery you will find examples of the wooden headboard for this bed and in the configuration options you can choose whether to add it.

Wooden wall-mounted headboard: in the ‘Accessories’ section you can find a wall-mounted headboard with integrated shelves, designed to hold what you need within reach. A smart, space-saving solution that brings together headboard and bedside table in one clean, minimal element.

Futon headboard As an alternative to the wooden headboards, you can also choose the futon headboard from the ‘Accessories’ section. It consists of a futon cushion suspended from the wall by a wooden rod, available in the same finishes as the frame. Futon cushions come in a wide range of colours.

Slats

The bed comes with rigid slats in solid wood, inserted directly into grooves along the inner perimeter of the frame.

Alternatively, you can choose roll-out curved slats from accessories section. In this case, the internal grooves in the frame are replaced by dedicated supports for the slats.

Futon

We recommend to pair this bed with structured futons containing latex and/or coconut fibre layers to provide uniform support on slatted bases and maintain comfort over time.

Pure cotton futons are better suited to beds with tatami mats, which offer a continuous and even foundation.
