The Comfort Futon – Cotton & Coir reinterprets Japanese tradition in a contemporary style, offering a taller, firmer and highly breathable mattress, designed for everyday use.
Made from carded cotton and featuring a central core of natural coconut fibre, available in either a single or double layer, it ensures an advanced balance between structural firmness and internal ventilation.
The cotton ensures comfort and natural temperature regulation, whilst coconut fibre promotes constant air circulation within the mattress, helping to maintain a dry and healthy environment.
The single-layer coconut fibre configuration offers firm yet slightly more balanced support, ideal for those who want a stable base without sacrificing the softness of cotton.
The double-layer coconut fibre version, on the other hand, increases the firmness and structure of the futon: it improves durability and guarantees even greater support, perfect for those who prefer a firm and compact base.
Coconut fibre also helps maintain the mattress’s shape and stability over time, making it particularly durable.
The result is firm yet comfortable support, designed to promote correct posture and a cool, dry and well-ventilated sleep.
Perfect for use on both slatted bases and tatami mats, it is the ideal choice for those seeking an authentic futon with superior support and breathability.

When first removing the futon from its packaging, we recommend folding or rolling it in the opposite direction to how it was packed. This helps smooth out the cover and filling.
Futons, being quilted mattresses, do not feature a removable cover. In the event of stains, we recommend using a suitable stain remover for spot treatment. To safeguard your futon from potential stains and dust accumulation, we suggest utilizing a removable cover available in the Accessories section.
Additionally, it is advisable to periodically flip the futon to maintain the density of its cotton layers. To ensure longevity, the futon should be occasionally rolled up and allowed to air out, facilitating the release of any absorbed moisture from the environment. We recommend doing this at least 4 times a year.
If the futon filling contains two layers of coconut fibre, it cannot be folded. In this case, we recommend turning the mattress from time to time to maintain an even density of the cotton and/or wool layers. To air the mattress, you can leave it on the bed with the window open for about an hour, then turn it over and leave it to air for another hour.
The futon cover is available in a variety of colors, shown in the selection above. Hand-sewn seams are carefully matched to the fabric, creating a cohesive and refined look.
Natural white futons always feature white felts in the tufting points. For colored futons, you can choose between matching fabric buttons or black felt in the configuration settings.
