Kapok fibre is an amazing gift from nature: it is very light and voluminous (6 times lighter than cotton) because its fibres are hollow in the middle. This characteristic also makes it a material with excellent thermoregulatory and breathable properties. It is also quite elastic, which makes the pillow exceptionally strong and yet soft to the touch, making it an excellent solution for relieving neck and headaches. Finally, kapok fibre is naturally hypoallergenic and mite-resistant.
Kapok is also a very environmentally friendly material as it is grown without the use of fertilisers or pesticides and is 100% biodegradable. It is harvested by hand and requires no chemical treatment for processing.
