Bringing the simplicity of Japanese interiors into the modern bedroom, the Air Double to Super King Bed with Tatami combines low-profile design with natural materials. The tatami releases a delicate natural scent and provides a breathable, thermoregulating surface, while the subtly recessed frame lends the bed a light, airy appearance. Designed to bring the timeless simplicity of Japanese interiors into modern homes, the Air Bed with Tatami combines minimalist design with exceptional versatility. Available in widths from 140 to 270 cm, it can be tailored to suit intimate double beds, generous king-size layouts, or oversized configurations where the tatami remains beautifully visible around the mattress, creating both a distinctive aesthetic and a practical surface for everyday essentials.
Standing just 16 cm high, the solid beech frame preserves the authentic feeling of resting close to the floor while remaining raised enough for the rigid slatted base beneath the tatami to encourage healthy air circulation. The natural rice straw releases a delicate scent and provides a breathable, heat-insulating surface, while the subtly recessed base visually lightens the structure and enhances the clean lines of its minimalist design.
Compatible with all types of mattresses, from traditional cotton futons to contemporary foam or spring models, Air is available in a wide selection of sizes, finishes, and custom configurations. Choosing a frame slightly wider than the mattress allows the tatami to remain visible on either side, celebrating one of the most distinctive elements of Japanese interiors while adding a convenient surface for books, a phone, or a morning cup of tea. A bed that balances natural materials, thoughtful functionality, and lasting comfort to create a calm and inviting bedroom.

In the product configuration options, you can choose untreated beech for a natural, authentic look, or opt for one of our eco-friendly, water-based finishes, designed to enhance the wood grain and protect the surface over time. Our colour palette ranges from a transparent finish, through a variety of natural wood shades, to white, grey and black, making it easy to integrate the furniture into different interiors and styles. To help you choose, we offer a free sample delivery service, allowing you to see the quality and grain of the wood in person and compare the different finishes. To request samples, contact us and let us know which colours you’d like to see.
In addition to our standard range, you can also choose a custom RAL colour to match each piece precisely to your existing furnishings or the requirements of a specific interior design project. In this case, we’ll prepare a sample in your chosen colour and send it to you for approval before applying the finish to your furniture.

Our tatami mats are made from 100% natural straw with no synthetic fillings, featuring a visible weave on both the top and bottom that reflects their high-quality craftsmanship.
The straw releases a subtle, natural scent, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The dense weave provides excellent breathability and thermal insulation, keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter, and helping maintain an ideal microclimate. The firm surface supports the body evenly, encouraging proper posture and relieving muscle tension.
To showcase the weave aesthetically, we recommend pairing the bed with a slightly narrower mattress, leaving a portion of the tatami exposed on either side.
If varnished, the wood can be cleaned with a sponge dampened with a little water and, if necessary, a specific wood cleaner. If left untreated, the wood can only be vacuumed or dusted. It should absolutely not be wet, to prevent the surface from becoming rough. If this happens, however, the surface can be smoothed again by sanding it with a gentle sandpaper (180 grit).
The tatami mat can be cleaned with a dry cloth or even a vacuum cleaner to remove dust, even from the middle of the weave. These mats must always be kept completely dry, so it's advisable to check them occasionally in the colder months to ensure they aren't absorbing moisture. If the environment in which they are located is very humid, simply airing them may not be enough; in this case, we recommend using a dehumidifier.
