keyboard_arrow_downDescription

Futons are rooted in a simple yet intelligent way of living: in Japan, they are laid out on tatami mats at night and stored away in the morning, allowing a single space to adapt and serve different functions throughout the day.

The Comfort Futon – Wool, Cotton & Coir is designed for those seeking firm, stable support. Its structure combines layers of carded cotton with a soft wool layer on both sides, and can be configured with one or two layers of natural coconut fibre to adjust the level of firmness.

Wool, soft and naturally breathable, helps regulate temperature and is inherently resistant to dust mites. It absorbs and releases moisture, keeping the body dry and comfortable, warm in winter and cool in summer.

Cotton provides consistent, even support while contributing to breathability and overall comfort.

Coconut fibre enhances firmness and improves internal air circulation. With one coconut layer, the futon can still be folded in half; with two, it becomes more structured and no longer foldable.

If you are looking for a thicker option, explore our Premium Wool, Cotton, and Double Coconut Futon.

keyboard_arrow_downCare and maintenance

When first removing the futon from its packaging, we recommend folding or rolling it in the opposite direction to how it was packed. This helps smooth out the cover and filling.

Futons, being quilted mattresses, do not feature a removable cover. In the event of stains, we recommend using a suitable stain remover for spot treatment. To safeguard your futon from potential stains and dust accumulation, we suggest utilizing a removable cover available in the Accessories section.

Additionally, it is advisable to periodically flip the futon to maintain the density of its cotton layers. To ensure longevity, the futon should be occasionally rolled up and allowed to air out, facilitating the release of any absorbed moisture from the environment. We recommend doing this at least 4 times a year.

If the futon filling contains two layers of coconut fibre, it cannot be folded. In this case, we recommend turning the mattress from time to time to maintain an even density of the cotton and/or wool layers. To air the mattress, you can leave it on the bed with the window open for about an hour, then turn it over and leave it to air for another hour.

keyboard_arrow_downColour customisation

The futon cover is available in a variety of colors, shown in the selection above. Hand-sewn seams are carefully matched to the fabric, creating a cohesive and refined look.

Natural white futons always feature white felts in the tufting points. For colored futons, you can choose between matching fabric buttons or black felt in the configuration settings.
